Window cleaning FAQs

Clear answers to the practical questions customers ask before joining a regular Cherry round.

Do I need to be home?

No. For exterior cleaning, you normally only need to make sure we can reach the windows and any gate is unlocked. We will text before your visit.

What do you clean?

A regular exterior clean includes the glass, frames and external sills. Any extras are agreed clearly in your written quote.

What happens if it rains?

Light rain does not normally affect pure-water cleaning. If weather makes the work unsafe or would compromise the result, we will rearrange and keep you informed.

How often can you visit?

Our regular residential rounds are generally every 6 or 12 weeks. We will agree the frequency before your service begins.

Do you need my outside tap?

Usually not. Our van carries purified water. We need suitable access and somewhere reasonably close to park.

Can you reach windows above extensions or conservatories?

Water-fed poles allow us to safely clean many difficult-to-reach windows from the ground. We will confirm access when quoting.

Is there a first-clean surcharge?

A first visit can require additional time where frames and glass need restoring to a regular-maintenance standard. Any surcharge will be shown before you agree. When you switch at the correct point in your current schedule and tell us your last-clean date, we can waive it.

Can I skip or rearrange a clean?

Please tell us as early as possible. We will always try to help, subject to the cancellation and rescheduling policy.

How do I pay?

Your payment method and timing will be confirmed clearly before your first visit. We will never add an unexpected charge.

What if I am not happy?

Let us know within 48 hours of your clean and we will return to reclean any windows that need attention.

Are you insured?

Yes. Cherry carries public liability insurance up to £1,000,000.

Do you offer one-off cleans?

Yes, subject to availability and location. Regular-round customers receive the most predictable scheduling.
